Adult Psychotherapy
Some people arrive here having done everything right. The career took shape, the relationship settled, the life looks — from the outside — like it's working. And yet something underneath hasn't resolved: a pattern that keeps repeating, a restlessness that success was supposed to quiet and didn't, a sense that the real question is still being circled rather than answered.
If that's familiar, you've probably already tried the faster routes — the practical fixes, the techniques, the sensible advice — and found they didn't reach far enough.
I offer online depth psychotherapy for adults across California, providing weekly virtual sessions tailored to the Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, and beyond. As a licensed psychologist (PSY 34177), I work with individuals seeking to understand patterns that show up in relationships, work, and inner life. My approach balances careful listening with thoughtful exploration of feelings, memories, and life choices, helping you gain clearer self-awareness and more satisfying ways of being.
People come to therapy for many reasons—persistent anxiety, low mood, relationship pain, difficulty making decisions, or a sense that something important is missing. Together we’ll create a safe, confidential space to explore these concerns, identify underlying dynamics, and develop meaningful change at a pace that fits you. Sessions are held weekly via secure video, making therapy accessible across California.
If you’re looking for sustained, reflective work with an experienced clinician, I offer a collaborative therapeutic relationship grounded in respect, curiosity, and clinical expertise.
I work with adults, younger and older, who are ready to understand what's actually driving things rather than keep managing the symptoms.
A word on how this actually works, since it's often misunderstood. Much of what shapes our lives runs below awareness. We form templates early — for closeness, for conflict, for what to expect from other people — and then live them out, often without noticing, sometimes for decades. Psychodynamic therapy is the patient work of bringing those patterns into view, seeing where they came from, and loosening their hold so you can begin to choose differently. It isn't advice. It's a particular kind of relationship — attentive, honest, unhurried — in which the patterns that run your life outside the room start to appear inside it, where we can finally look at them together.
The first couple of months build the foundation. Before anything can change, we develop two things: insight, so you start to see the shape of your own patterns clearly, and the emotional capacity to stay with feelings you've spent a long time avoiding. Once that's in place, the deeper work becomes possible — not just recognizing the patterns, but changing them.
The practical shape of it is straightforward. Individual therapy by secure telehealth, anywhere in California. Weekly or twice-weekly 50-minute sessions. This is long-term, open-ended work; most of it unfolds over two to five years or more, because real change to deeply set patterns doesn't happen faster, and I'd rather say so plainly than promise otherwise.
